Devlog #8: 🜃 The Archivist

Every ten actions, your story is sealed.

🜃 The Archivist descends from the spaces between stars to compress your recent journey into memory—preserving what matters, releasing what does not.

What Gets Remembered

Only what leaves a mark on the world:

  • where you traveled

  • who you spoke with

  • missions accepted, completed, or abandoned

  • shifts in crew trust and fracture

  • faction allegiances honored or broken

  • items gained, spent, or lost

If it changed the ship, the crew, or your standing in the galaxy,
it is written into the Archive.

How It Works

🜃 The Archivist reads your last 10 log entries
and distills them into 100–200 words of precise, chronological record—
written in past tense, third person, clinical but not cold.

The raw logs are then replaced by the compressed archive,
keeping your game state coherent and lightweight
while preserving every consequence.

The Greywake holds three archived summaries plus ten active entries—
about forty interactions of living memory.
When you load a save, the Archivist restores your universe
exactly as you left it.

The Promise

Nothing you do is forgotten.

Every vow kept or broken.
Every crew member trusted or dismissed.
Every faction honored or betrayed.

🜃 The Archivist ensures your story persists —
even after the stars go cold.
